I read that Medium will allow a pass ~ as long as you are in and out in less than 10-seconds. Read this last month but cannot remember if it was via Medium staff.

If you see you clapped, you have the choice to reread or leave immediately.

The 30-second rules counts for a read and view. Hope they are honouring this.
We all fall into this. I would stay on and scrolling to the end, because I felt badly giving a writer an non-read because I had already read it.

Seems more than fair that this metric be tracked. Otherwise it really mucks things up and earnings:(
