Hi Carmellita, thank you for sharing, grateful for your findings on self-publishing. TIME is so important, and one reason I am considering self-publishing. It matters what time one posts and that affects curation and page results. If a post is published in the early hours of the morning when 80% of my readership is asleep, the impact is notable. Time affects all social media platforms, Medium included. Although grateful for the opportunity to be published in a pub, time must be factored in to be of benefit to the writer and pub. I see stories sitting for 3-4 hours without a read, clap or comment. We both know what SEO says about that. On Medium that is a death sentence. The algorithm interprets this as no interest, not promoting that story:(
