So sorry, Pam, these situations are hard on all. If the couple seeks counselling, and one hasn’t checked out of the marriage, there is hope. How rude and disrespectful that he goes on his own for a holiday meant for both when he can’t get his way. The silent treatment is a childhood trauma response.
