Orla, attachments to fill a void… letting go is hard for many. I agree, not everyone deserves our energy. Sometimes you do meet a kindred spirit, and are drawn to one another. They offer value and a lesson. Met a wonderful couple on holidays and we remained friends for 15 years. Distance makes it really hard to stay connected despite phone calls, cards and emails. Thankful that they brought so much to my life and sad that I said finally said goodbye. It was time to let go.
