Close The Door, Guilt Can’t Open New Doors In Life

What Hides Behind The Closed Doors In Your Life?

A wall of guilt greets me at the front door. As I reach for the door knocker, unimaginable sadness spills onto the porch. Etched in deep heartache, stained with anxiety and loss—resistance piled high, blocks the doorway.

Confused, I slowly back away from the door.

You never know
what someone is dealing with
behind closed doors.
You only know what you see
or what you think you see.

every time

you don’t follow your inner guidance
you feel a loss of power
a sense of spiritual deadness

— Shakti Gawain

“Love, there’s so much resistance at your front door.”

When I turn to my friend, her smile disintegrates as she braces herself with a cane. What is really going on? In her early 40s, her body rails—barely breathing. Every sign screams rebellion.

Pain is hell-bent on wreaking havoc.

Painkillers are ineffectual in numbing inner pain.

do you stay
in prison
when the door is so wide open?

Does your soul say, “I’m done with this sh#t?”
Awareness leads to surrender.
Deep acceptance leads to change.

The crisis ends when we are honest with ourselves.
