New York City, 3 a.m.
The electric buzz is palatable in a city that does not sleep. On this warm summer night, we walk back to our hotel, laughing while attempting to sing in harmony.
His trademark hat and glam make-up caught my attention as he walked by.
I sang, “Do you really want to hurt me?”
Karma Chameleon didn’t miss a beat.
“Do you really want to make me cry?
Precious kisses, words that burn me
Lovers never ask you why.”
His voice trailed off as he turned the corner with his entourage.
Is that who I think it is—Boy George?!
