Julia, feeling nostalgic after reading this. I came across your work at Illumination and thankfully, I still see your name pop up. Lots of changes with Medium, some choices made haven’t been the best for writers. To note, the option to change your URL to your name has a real SEO downside ~ many would have seen huge losses specially by adopting that option a few months back. Moving away from www.medium.com/writer’s name … were lost. It will take months to make those gains back again, if ever. This is basic SEO which unfortunately, many writers don’t understand.
