It feels surreal to think 100 years ago there was a pandemic and often wondered how they managed.

My grandmother, born in 1899, had 10 children (and became a widow shortly after the birth of her youngest) during the worst time period in our history. Influenza pandemic. World wars. The Great Depression. I don’t know how she did it. I think of her whenever I feel “inconvenienced.”

It feels surreal to think 100 years ago there was a pandemic and often wondered how they managed. Here we are ~ living our lives, with hope for a brighter future.
One can have all the freedom in the world but if they do not feel free in their heart, there is havoc.
