Medium has a 100-comment limit per day, their strategy to address spam.
But 30 comments is not something an algo would flag in backend.
What can happen is that you may have used a phrase or emoji that triggers trackers in backend. Or, similar to Instagram, liked in rapid succession.
In either case, Medium’s set trackers will restrict further comments until 24 hours later:(
