What also plays a role is how much that reader reads per day. If they read fewer reads overall, the payout to each story would be higher.
I saw a $7.00 payout one day for one of my stories. Couldn’t believe it.
This writer took a break from Medium and returned that day to read, clap and comment on my story :)
