Hi Pam, so sorry to hear this — this is a difficult time for all. It wears you down, and compassion fatigue sets in. Caregiving for an elderly parent is not easy. We think they will be taken care of in a home, better than we could provide. But it is never that easy. The phone calls, staff not knowing what to do—it takes a toll. Been down this road, empathize.
