Hi Deborah, unfortunately the functionality to edit and publish from one’s mobile device in no longer operational, and discontinued by MEDIUM. They announced through their newsletter, and many writers are quite frustrated by their decision.
External views are are and parcel of being on the worldwide web. Every word is searchable and MEDIUM offers nonmembers 2 or 3 free monthly reads.
A story that goes viral outside the Medium paywall can resurface within this platform months later:). There are a lot of factors that play into why a story takes off here and this has to do with engagement. Engage with other writers , read, clap, highlight and your story now appears for them. All part of current social media algorithm needs. Hope this helps:)
