Hi B.R., there is no doubt the pandemic altered the traditional college or university experience. Add, every person learns differently and as seen in the classroom, some excel and others do not. If she feels she needs to be in class, it is best to do what is best for her well-being. Staying in a situation that is mentally damaging does not address her personal needs. There is no shame in taking a leave from school until it resumes to in class learning.

I was absent due to health reasons and in hindsight, am grateful. I excelled by learning on my own. Upgraded professionally via online learning prior to Covid. But what works for me doesn’t for my kids. One needs in class and the other does not.
