In a parallel Universe, I would’ve felt flattered. I didn’t take it to heart either, but it made me wonder whether this was merely their projection or something more complex than that. The funny thing is, I’ve had more women buying me coffees than men, but I didn’t bother bringing this up.

Seriously, some people do not have purpose and make up total BS stories to draw attention to themselves.
Stay the course and do what you love. The energy doesn't lie.
