❤️ Hi Natalie, This story brought up so much for me. Reading about your childhood and then having your own children tugged on my heartstrings.

Finding out that Santa was not real, for me being sensitive, was harsh. I felt the impact immediately.

“You lied to me.”

My Aunt laughed it off. To this day, I remember the sinking feeling of realization ~ adults lie. It was cruel and not funny to me.
This is why I told my kids the story of St Nick and giving. They loved their Christmases, and all the magic was there for them. They knew about Santa and also understood he was one of many stories.
