Each of us will have our own firsthand experiences, with every member of the family. This isn't about remembering it wrong. You know what you went through. Talk about gaslighting you by showing up at your door.

Your truth and reality will differ, even with siblings and cousins. For so many reasons including, people change over time and actually do treat family members differently.

So, when people react with 500-word rants or show up out of the blue, they missed the point. Immature. THIS IS YOUR MEMOIR, not theirs. It's your story to tell, not theirs. They can write their own.
